Me and my girlfriend have been daten for 2 years now. And she has to move with her parents (who are both in the army) back to a town she lived at befor for years. And when she gets there she expects to have all her friends she had back then and be as close. Well she goes to hangout with one of her closest friends and she realized he had changed and she didn't like it at all. Well then she starts cuttin her life out of everyone me being the first. I've always been there to help her, always listened to her, and always made her happy. She seems to be really depressed on the situation she just went through moven away from her love ones, keeps getting shot down for a job, about to start up college, and now realizes people change for good ior bad. I can really use some help to help her out so things can get as close to normal as can be.

We all face a conclusion. I look back on a life of adventure, mountaintop experiences, the heights of joy and the pit of fear. I have no regrets. The grim reaper isn't evil.

Somewhere along the line we see how finite life is and the infinite spread of eternity. It is an unnerving thought. Were I to lose my nerve I suppose I could hide my face from it, but many have gone this way before. Why should I be different?

The only thing we take with us is our memories. It is all we need.

God answers prayers. I always hear this thrown out as if it's gospel. Well, most people praying are asking for something that helps themselves or someone they care about. But people die, get murdered, get sick everyday. People getting prayed for. So where is this proof that God answers prayers. A simple example of one thing that turned out in your favor doesn't cut it. Because an equal number or more didn't happen. Also if we have free will why would God intervene? We are what we are. It's all circumstance with a little control. But who's answering prayers for the kids in Africa starving? Where's God for them? Don't give me this...we can understand his ways...that's a cop out...because if we don't then we don't know that he is answering prayers either. I don't get it when someone just says...God answers prayers...No "it" does not. For every good there is a bad. It is pure happenstance.

why did God have Noah build an ark, load the animals, and flood the earth for 40 days when he could have just willed the people he sought to cleanse off the Earth and let the Animals and Noah go about their business? It makes no sense to go through all the trouble. I feel the same when reflecting on the notion of sending Jesus. Why not will it to be done? Also, do you have thoughts on why such a supreme being needs our devotion or needs to create something for the sake of devotion and adoration?

the background info...my husband of 10 years left me recently and quickly moved in with another woman. we have 3 children together and we see each other quite often because of this. he has been gone for about a month and a half and it has been very hard on me. he has tried to do right by me and the kids and is there whenever we need him. our marriage was always good, we seldom fought and we were best friends.

my husband and i have been trying to remain friends through all. as i said we were best friends and i enjoy having him as a friend. throughout all of this i can still tell that he loves and desires me. this past weekend he took the kids to my sister in laws house to watch the ballgame. they called me because they knew i was stuck at the house bored as always, and invited me to watch the game with them. my husband and i got along great and after a few hours and a few drinks we were joking and playing around. one thing led to another and we ended up having sex. everyone thinks he is having his cake and eating it too, but i am thinking this was better for me than it was for him. you see...i have no desire to find a new relationship. i am not the most social person and i can't bring men into and out of my children's lives. but i still have needs and it was nice to have that physical attention. i went into it knowing that it did not mean we were getting back together and i let him know that i just had a physical desire and that was all i wanted from him. as of today, things have gone back to the way they were.

now for my question...am i stupid to think that we can still have casual sex or is there anyway that this will work out?

The way that "some" of the members here form their little click and try to run off the new members...I find to be a bit disturbing. It makes me wonder if that's why Yedda is changing the format so much. They are sick and tired of the old members telling them what to do. I notice they all stick together and answer people with demeaning and intimidating answers just to be funny...as if there are no hearts behind the fonts. Maybe some ARE bots...and maybe some ARE NOT. But who's to judge???

I just got offered a job from a charity, but how can i make sure its legit and they're not asking me to do something illegal for them without my knowledge? They are stationed in the UK so I am extra weary since it's coming from another country as well. They are asking me to receive money orders and then send it to them... but why? They are telling me that I will make good money doing this, but it sounds like it would be illegal or something.

Is god worth worshipping if he created a world with all this senseless death. Natural disasters have cruelly killed countless millions of innocent children. Do you see the praying families in Haiti? Have you seen it after Katrina and Tsunamis? Then of course, there is the Holocaust. Bad things happen to good people!
