My parents let me start modeling at a young age. The money I earned from that work they put aside for me and has helped me pay for my education. If that's not altruistic, than I don't know what is. (Although, I understand what you mean as I've seen images from other models, like Lindsay Lohan's sister, Ali, who's 16 years old and looks like a street worker in the work she's done for Lindsay's new line of clothing, 6126.) It matters what the parents' morals are that affect how a child/preteen turns out, not necessarily the industry.

Kmartz, I'm not a professional psychologist but I do think, after reading your history, that you have a lot of issues that need to be worked out before any doctor can definitively know what the medical diagnosis is. If I were in your situation, I'd seek help immediately. Find a therapist that you are comfortable speaking with. I know that my sister had a similar situation and after she went to therapy for a few months, things truly started getting better for her. She was eventually diagnosed with bipolar disorder and although it took a few tries with the medication, the doctor was able to find the right cocktail of medications that helped make her life easier and more enjoyable. Because I've seen results with my own eyes, I am convinced that therapy can work for nearly all situations.
